About this course
Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. 5 GCSEs including English and maths at grade 4 (C) or above are required as well as a level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism (or a related subject). International qualifications will also be considered.
Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19 who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Course programme
Year 1
The course is studied over one year (subsidiary diploma) and students can apply for a second year at College and progress to the diploma. Subjects include investigating travel and tourism; the business of travel and tourism; the UK as a destination; customer service in travel and tourism; and European travel destinations. In addition to your BTEC studies, you will also complete the NCFE (level 2) Cabin Crew Services qualification. If you decide to apply for the diploma you will also then become part of the Leicester College Swissport Academy. On successful completion of the diploma, you will have a guaranteed interview with Swissport at East Midlands Airport.
