This is a practical based course which prepares you with skills for working in travel. You will spend the majority of your time in the classroom completing practical projects however you will also be required to participate in educational visits which are part of the course. Previous trips have included Birmingham International Airport, Hilton Hotel, Madame Tussauds and Alton Towers. In addition, at the beginning of your course you will need to supply a smart white shirt and a black trouser/skirt and purchase from the College a cravat/tie, red t-shirt and a red hoody.

Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D or above including English or maths. Alternatively you will need a suitable level 1 Diploma in a related subject with Functional Skills English or Maths.
Delivery and Assessment
Our course is 100% course work and you will complete practical projects, presentations, reports and a portfolio. Some sections will be completed individually and some in a group to help you develop team working skills.
Progression
On completion of the Level 2 Diploma you have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism. Alternatively, you may like to consider a career as a Travel Agent, Customer Service Agent at a Hotel or working as a Passenger Service Agent at any International Airport.
