About this course


Our goal is for you to be able to quickly and efficiently create both simple, complex designs and to successfully navigate the SketchUp environment.


This course is intended for those with little or no experience in 3D drawing, and is a perfect starting point for graphic designers and other creative professionals.

You will need basic PC or Mac skills, including a solid understanding of a computer's operating system (Windows or Mac OS). You will also need to know how to launch a program, create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media.

This 1-day Introduction course will give you the SketchUp skills you need to move quickly from concept to design, whatever your field of work.

Our main objective is to show you how to draw 'the SketchUp way'. Together, we will combine basic drawing skills with a creative approach as we produce simple, functional designs. We cover all the main modelling and editing tools, plus the essential tricks and ways to avoid common pitfalls and mistakes. We use a hands-on approach and by the end of the day you will be confident in creating complex 3D models.

Despite being labelled as an introduction, our course will contain tips and techniques that will appeal to new and experienced users alike, as we lift the lid of some of the program's powerful features.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
