Turkish AS/A2 Level

The first year of the course concentrates on the written language. The second year focuses on developing your reading and listening comprehension, as well as your creative and analytical writing skills in Turkish.

• You must satisfy the general entry criteria for A Level courses, which are based on your GCSE results.
• In addition, you must have at least a grade B in GCSE Turkish or evidence of strong reading and writing skills in Turkish.

International students:

• Equivalent overseas qualifications will be considered.
• IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.0 in each skill) or equivalent.

Assessment is by coursework and by end of year exams.

Second languages are much prized by Universities and employers. A good result at your Turkish A Level could set you up for a Degree in Turkish or in Modern Languages. Alternatively, very fluent speakers can move into work such as translation or bilingual copywriting.
