After reading this tutorial (number 9) I finally found out - explained in simple terms - what the fstop numbers are for. I learned more in one session today than I did on a 6 week evening course! Brilliant, look forward to more. I have an Olympus dSLR and a few lenses, but always use the automatic settings. I would like to have a bit more input into how the camera works, and now I might be able to.
