What I would highlight:
I liked the general organization: the welcoming of new students, their initial training about all the opportunities, the weekly program and the discounts students could benefit in the shool.
I liked my one-week course in a C1 level, the general atmosphere in the class, where students were very keen in their learning of a 2nd language. We all were 100% cooperative with each other and they were really brilliant.
All the activities proposed by our teacher were demanding, stimulating and...quite fast.
We have been given time to perform our personal knowledge of English in making speeches, debates or presentations of our native countries through the LIM board.
Grammar exercices were hard enough for our level.
Our teacher was vulcanic and cared for any one of us all the time.
I also liked the class based on economy and commercial English. There two classes were grouped and had many and varied exercices to do together. I like that the feedback, following a discussion or a group work or a brainstorming, always was immediate and interesting for everyone.
Most precious for me was that, while studying English all together in a cooperative setting, we also learned effective "teaching methods" that aprofessional as I am in Italy, could reproduce in his own classrom. I have been given advice, strategies and new ideas for my job with tenagers of a secondary school, dealing with cooking and accommodation studies
I also liked the family that hosted me; their house was not far from school and I liked the school itself: equipments, classrooms, organization were good.
Finally, last but not least, I liked the Director who showed to always be happy, enthousiastic, positive and very friendly.
What could be improved:
I would have liked if I could have read the text of my listening comprehension after having done my preliminary test. I found one very interesting (it concerned leadership) but could never study its content thereafter.
I think I could suggest the teachers some "job shadowing", as other English schools generally do in UK. Any teacher could learn how to improve his methodology from another.
The use of LIM (whiteboard) to correct grammar exercices of the book could be profitable.
Cafeteria was too small.
