Prepare for a career in theatre, film and performance by exploring world-renowned interdisciplinary actor training and theatrical practices to develop as an actor with depth and professional integrity, alongside creating and producing original, bold devised work on Fourth Monkey’s BA (Hons) Acting course
The innovative training on this two-year intensive degree develops each student's talent and potential through a variety of contemporary international acting and theatrical practices, as well as performance plus contextual and professional studies
Fourth Monkey's training approach develops students to become imaginative, bold and connected professional actors, as well as versatile artists, able to devise and produce original work on film or stage. Expected to work within professional practices from day one, students are encouraged to take risks, and be open and curious throughout their training.
With an emphasis on forming lasting professional journeys where each actor is able to create opportunity for themselves, are employable by design, collaborative by nature and able to self-generate work, ensuring that students have all the skills and tools needed for a prolific, long-term career in this challenging and ever-evolving industry.
Core modules and training are based on Fourth Monkey's unique thematic approach of Act. Make. Move. Collaborate, so that students graduate with the necessary skills to work in classical and contemporary theatre, film and radio, as well as being an accomplished artists in their own right.
Students are entitled to full Equity status upon graduation and qualify for inclusion on Spotlight.
