Have you got an interest in working in the games industry? Do you see yourself starting to design 3D characters for games? Have you always wanted to design digital art? The games design industry is waiting for you to be a part of something exciting. Sketching character ideas, coming up with new game stories and concepts, using computers to draw and design games characters, this is all part of what you do as a games designer. If your life is based around playing games, and you have a developing skill in art, then this is the route for you. This course is designed to build up your developing games design and art skills as well as your English and Maths grades. The course is awarded by the prestigious UAL (University of the Arts London) and is exclusive to the Academy and BMet in the Midlands.

Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D or above. You will also need to show a portfolio at interview.
Delivery and Assessment
This programme of study is 100% coursework i.e. no exams. You will be assessed in a variety of ways including: Practical work, presentations, essays, journals, blogs, tutor interviews, group discussions, art portfolios and digital designs.
Progression
After completing the Level 2 Diploma you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma to continue your development. The skills you learn at Level 2 will be vital in achieving your potential at Level 3 and then this can eventually lead to higher education or employment.
