Course programme

The first part of the course gives students a sound practical and design experience which includes:



  • Photoshop and image manipulation

  • TV and video production

  • Page layout and design

  • Digital photography

  • 2D and web animation


The second part of the course deals with the more specialised areas of media such as:



  • Website design

  • Motion graphics

  • Designing TV idents

  • Advertising

  • Digital graphics


This provides students with a portfolio of valuable skills and work, relevant to employment within the fast changing new media industries.
The course is based in the purpose built modern Creative Industries Centre, which incorporates a recording studio, audio/radio studio, digital editing suites for audio and video, and multimedia computing suite. All areas have latest non-linear digital audio and video editing equipment.
