80 UCAS points - AS / A Level / BTEC qualifications or equivalent, GSCE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent. Mature Learners will be assessed on an Learners basis. Refer to general entry requirements.

This course is designed to prepare Learners for a career in Civil Engineering and related industries at higher technician level. It will provide learners with specific practical and professional skills, analysis, organization, design, teamwork and communication. The course aims to leave Learners equally prepared to progress to Honours Degree level, to directly enter employment as a highly skilled employee, or to start a business.
Learners may (subject to performance) progress to BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering or BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering (Geoinformatics). Exemptions may also be given for entry onto the BSc (Hons) Construction Engineering. These programmes are offered at Ulster University, Jordanstown. Learners may take up employment within the private sector with civil engineering consultants, contractors or specialists or within the public sector in government departments.
