Unarmed surveillance course

In health as in private security, prevention is better than cure. Raising the defenses against possible break-in attempts is the priority of every company or private person who wants to protect their assets in the long term without having surprises. But the choice of protection systems is not immediate, on the contrary: what will be the most effective safety system? Sector studies seem to reward the so-called unarmed surveillance, a passive surveillance method that implies the presence of a professional employed by a security agency. Unarmed surveillance means a custody activity carried out by personnel employed by a private security institution without weapons for individual defense. It is also called "passive supervision" because the guard in charge is not equipped with means to offend, she is not trained to use them and has no right to use them. Unarmed security is required by individuals and companies that need a control service: guardian in buildings, shopping centers, fairs, events, places and situations in general where monitoring and custody are required. The passive (unarmed) guards make sure that no intruders enter restricted areas, inspect the parking lots, internal areas and report any anomalies if they occur. When evaluating service, the comparison with unarmed vigilance comes naturally and the tendency is often to find an armed vigilante more incisive than a colleague without a gun. Indeed, the data seem to support the opposite: it is not the weapon that deters potential intruders, but the presence of a guard or patrolling personnel.
