About this course

You must be aged over 19 and have lived in the EU for the past 3 years and currently be living in England. There is a short initial assessment to complete to ensure the course is the right level for you. If you are aged 19-24 you must already hold a full level 2 qualification.

Course programme

Year 1

You must be working in a daycare, nursery, school, college, medical, or residential setting to be able to complete this course.

The qualification consist of the following four mandatory units:

Unit 1: Understand medication and prescriptions
Unit 2: Supply, storage, and disposal of medication
Unit 3: Understand the requirements for the safe administration of medication
Unit 4: Record keeping for audit processes for medication.

Additional information

You will receive a resource pack containing four textbooks and two workbooks with submission dates for each part. You are assessed on the answers you supply within the workbooks. This is a knowledge-based course and you will receive feedback on your answers and guidance on how to complete any resubmissions you might have. This could be via post or email. There are no observations or exams.
