About this course

You must be aged over 19 and have lived in the EU for the past 3 years and currently be living in England. There is a short initial assessment to complete to ensure the course is the right level for you. If you are aged 19-24 you must already hold a full level 2 qualification.

Course programme

Year 1

The qualification is completed via distance learning using specialised materials. The course contains the following three mandatory units:

Unit 1 – Understanding the prevent duty
Unit 2 – understanding safeguarding
Unit 3 – Understanding online safety
All elements must be completed and passed in order to achieve certification. You will then receive your nationally recognised and accredited qualification.

Additional information

You will receive a resource pack containing textbook and workbooks with submission dates for each part. You are assessed on the answers you supply within the workbooks. This is a knowledge-based course and you will receive feedback on your answers and guidance on how to complete any resubmissions you might have. This could be via post or email. There are no observations or exams.
