Objectives:
- After studying this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate their understanding of legislation relating to safeguarding children
- Understand the assessment process
- Demonstrate their ability to apply theory to their practical work with service users
- Identify issues which could lead to child protection measures being taken
- Discuss what steps should be taken when a child’s safety and wellbeing is in question.
Evaluate the effectiveness of legislation and proceedings drawing on conclusions from previous cases.
