About this course

You must be aged over 19 and have lived in the EU for the past 3 years and currently be living in England. There is a short initial assessment to complete to ensure the course is the right level for you. If you are aged 19-24 you must already hold a full level 2 qualification.

Year 1

The qualification is made up of the following units:
Unit 1: How stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events
Unit 2: How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events
Unit 3: How stewards prepare for spectator events
Unit 4: How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning
Unit 5: Understand how effective teams work
Unit 6: Health and safety in a work environment
Unit 7: Fire safety principles
Unit 8: Safeguarding children and vulnerable people at spectator events

Once enrolled you will receive a welcome email with your login details for our Virtual Learning Platform. All materials required are on the platform along with your assessment questions. You will have planned submission dates for each unit, a tutor will mark your work and feedback will be provided to you via the platform. Tutor and learner support is available via telephone and email throughout.
