There is nothing worse than having to study something you can't stand.Don't work too much outside Uni! The money might be good, but you exhaust yourself and lose focus from actual point.

What I would highlight:
The Garage' 'Shack' and all the pubs around Sauchihall Street (just follow the crowd). Alternatively, closer to Glasgow University, Ashton Lane with its many pubs.

What I would highlight:
The courses are very flexible and the workload is feasible as it assumes that most students work part time. Most tutors are excellent, approachable and casual. The courses offered are closer to the demand on the work market and therefore more realistic.Stay clear from Sighthill, Govan and any other place where people are likely to follow you with baseball bats at night.

What I would highlight:
I do no so much need to practise my English, as to get used to an English speaking culture, and the way the language is used in business.

What I would highlight:
They usually want to chill out when they get home, which makes a cosy atmosphere and great fun.My accomodation in Glasgow was not provided by the university as I entered directly into second year and the halls of residence are prioritised for first-year students.
What could be improved:
I loved it.

What I would highlight:
It's safe, comfortable and usually just great fun. Mind you I'm not fussy about staying somewhere else. I'm quite easy-going.We shared a floor with the 7 of us. Contacts were easily made. Because the situation was the same for everyone.

What I would highlight:
I learned many local expressions and about the history of the country and its people. My communication skills have nevertheless improved considerably. Although I could have a normal conversation when I arrived, I am now able to make presentations with great ease and fluency.

What I would highlight:
The subjects work well together, many common themes especially the construction of childhood and different experiences of global childhood.
Tutors are enthusiastic about their lectures and seminars and make their teaching a really enjoyable experience.
During the first term it was easy to switch courses and make sure that you were exactly where you wanted to be.
Pastoral care is excellent, students suffering from any kind of stress, either personal or educational, are well looked after.
As it is a small campus it is really friendly, staff and students.
What could be improved:
I feel that, because my campus is a satellite of the main university, that tutors are not as available as I would have hoped as they are often at the main site in Brighton.
The student 'experience' as far as having on site facilities is not good, although we have very recently been given a student bar, and although not on site it is just next door.
Email replies can be slow from some tutors (or non-existent)
