Reviews on University of Oxford, Department for Continuing Education
More information
Description
Oxford University's Department for Continuing Education offers a number of academic summer schools. These programmes, taught at a post-graduate level, are suitable for university graduates, professionals, and any individuals wishing to come back to academic study. Themes studied range from English Literature, History, Political Science, Creative Writing, Theology, and Teacher Development. Each programme consists of a lecture series coupled with intimate, focused seminar sessions on particular topics. Hosted at a variety of Oxford Colleges, including Christ Church, Exeter College, and St Anthony's College, each summer school gives a participant an opportunity to, not only to immerse themselves in the study of a subject, but also to have a taste of what study life is like at Oxford. As students on the programmes come from around the world the summer schools also build international and cultural understanding, as well as global communities.
