The Upper Cervical Spine and Headache

Two day workshop

Aims:

1. Improve your ability to identify relevant cervicogenic dysfunction
2. Improve your ability to localise which spinal segment is the source of or contributing factor to headache
3. Improve your ability to recognise "Red Flags"

This practical two-day course challenges the traditional medical model of headache and emphasises the role of the upper cervical spine - via its contribution to the trigemino cervical nucleus - in headache.

The examination and treatment techniques taught on the course involve passive accessory and physiological intervertebral movements (of the O-C3 complex) are new, and demonstrate that upper cervical segmental dysfunction can be treated effectively without the use of high velocity thrust techniques.
