• draw rules and boxes
• use advanced OGL commands to produce complex overlays.

Prerequisites
A working knowledge of MVS JCL and attendance on RSM''s Using AFP: PSF and PPFA course (or equivalent knowledge).

OGL commands; syntax; control commands: OVERLAY, ORIENT, POSITION; text commands: FONT, SETTEXT.


Drawing rules and boxes
Comments; DRAWRULE; DRAWBOX; more about text; DRAWBOX. ..WITHTEXT; text alignment.


Advanced commands - Part 1
Control commands: CONTROL, DEFINE GROUP, PLACE GROUP; drawing commands: DRAWPATH; shading.


Advanced commands - Part 2
Measurement units: rounding, inches, points, lines per inch, characters per inch, PELs, millimetres; SETUNITS command; graphic images; SEGMENT/PLACE; DEFINE PATTERN; DRAWCIRCLE; notes about text; other commands: CBDUMP, DRAWMASK.
