What will you be learning?
The NVQ is a work-based qualification that assesses skills and knowledge and covers activities that relate to service technicians working on light vehicles (cars and vans) in all types of garages, dealerships and maintenance depots.
You will study: Health and safety; diagnosis and rectification of engine and component faults; chassis systems faults and auxiliary equipment electrical faults. Assessment will be by portfolio and multiple-choice test.

After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto the NVQ 3 or enter full-time employment.
