2. Health and Safety and the Law in relation to vehicle maintenance & repairs.
3. Introduction to the Motor Vehicle, Units, Components and their systems.
4. Transmission layouts: Clutch/Gearbox/Differential/Prop. - Drive Shaft.
5. Engines and ancillaries.
6. Brakes and Suspension/ Steering/ Tyres/Column/Gear/Linkage/Alignment/Oils/Fluids.
7. Overview of the functions related to scheduled vehicle servicing and functions related to the repair and maintenance of vehicle systems.
8. Servicing and Maintenance: Why/Safety/Reliability/Optimized Performance/Warranty/Manufactures Procedures.
9. Purpose and Methods of Inspection.
10. Vehicle Inspection and Appraisals: Determine between wear and tear and neglect/abuse.
11. Vehicle Comfort/Safety Systems: Air Bag/Air Conditioning.
12. Multi-plexing & Diagnostics.
13. Dealing with Approved Suppliers.
14. Specify and Record Vehicle Needs and agree Terms and Conditions for Repairs/Repairers.
