What qualifications will I get?

C&G Diploma in Vehicle Systems Maintenance
We will give you the opportunity to improve your English and Mathematics skills up to GCSE standard - depending on your individual needs.

How will I be assessed?

The units listed previously are all assessed practically and will require each learner to produce a logbook/portfolio of evidence. In addition to this theoretical assessments.

Balance of theory and practical

Functional Skills will also be delivered and assessed during the course.

50% practical and 50% theory.

What is the entry process?

You will be required to provide a previous school report and attend an interview to discuss goals and achievement prospects.

What are the entry requirements?

Minimum qualifications: Entry Level

For Level 1 you require at least Grades D and E.

What else do I need to know?

We will offer you an exciting and personalised study programme wherever possible, so you get the learning experience and support you need to help meet your ambitions.

You will be required to suppy your own safety equipment for workshop activities. Writing materials (pens, rulers and pencils etc) are required for classroom activities.

English and Maths

English and maths qualifications are vitally important for future employers and universities, so the government has made it a priority for students to improve these skills.

Entry Level / Level 1 and Level 2: We’re here to help you on your journey, so if you do not achieve grade A*-C in GCSE English and/or maths, then you will study English and/or maths as part of your college course.

Students who achieve a D grade will be placed on the relevant GCSE programme, while students who achieve an E or below will be assessed to ensure they are placed on the right study programme for their ability.

Level 3 programmes: You will need to meet the course entry requirements specified on the course information above. For the majority of our Level 3 courses, students will need grade A*-C in GCSE English and/or maths. If this is not specified in the course entry requirement, then you may be able to study English and/or maths as part of your college course.

What can I do after this course?

Progression from the courses will be Level 2 Maintenance and Repair, Vehicle Fitting, Body Repair Level 1 and Level 2 and Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Repair.
