This half-day (4hour) course will equip the attendee with the skills and knowledge required to gain competence in venepuncture and peripheral IV cannulation and arterial blood gas sampling.

Introduction
The course is predominantly practical and candidates have the opportunity to undergo supervised instruction and practice using the most up-to-date training manikins. On successful completion candidates are required to gain competency under clinical supervision within their own workplace.

- Demonstration of techniques - hints and tips
- Practical workshop - instruction and supervision
