Introduction

The course is predominantly practical and candidates have the opportunity to undergo supervised instruction and practice using the most up-to-date training manikins. On successful completion candidates are required to gain competency under clinical supervision within their own workplace.

  • Equipment available:

- vacuumed systems
- 'Butterflies'

  • Demonstration of techniques - hints and tips
  • Practical workshop - instruction and supervision
  • Complications e.g. haematoma, extravasation, needlestick injury etc.
