Introduction:
Individuals that install, inspect and service a hot water storage vessel with a capacity of over 15 litres (not incorporating a vent pipe) are required to be competent as recognised by the Building Regulations Document G.

Study Mode & Location:
This two day part-time course is offered at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent's Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
The scheme is split into three sections: Inspect, Commission, and Install and Service. Each section has theory and practical elements and all individuals, apart from those taking just the Inspect element, will do all sections.

Assessment:
Theory and practical assessments.

Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.

Requirement
Category 1: Individuals are required to have a recognised qualification and/or experience in plumbing, heating and ventilation or gas Category 2: Individuals are required to have relevant allied trade experience such as electrical. Category 3: Individuals with no relevant trade experience (e.g. inspectors, designers/architects, supervisors, manufacturers' technical staff) can access the Inspect course content only.
