Course programme


You must have five GCSEs at Grade C or above, which must include: English Language, Maths, Science and two further subjects, or equivalent qualifications at Level 2. You may progress to this course from the Level 2 Animal Nursing Assistant or Level 2 Veterinary Care Assistant qualifications, but you must still have achieved a GCSE at Grade C in Maths and English or Functional Skills in these subjects at Level 2.


To study on this course, you must also be working within a Veterinary practice (in paid employment) to gain the necessary 60 weeks of clinical practice required to develop competence in clinical skills to enable you to qualify.
