Visiting Researcher Program
The University of Sydney Visiting Researcher Program provides you with the exciting opportunity to add an international perspective to your education at an Australian university with a reputation for excellence in teaching and research. You can complete a research period of one or two years under the supervision of a University of Sydney academic staff member on a non-award basis.
You will receive an official University of Sydney academic transcript at the end of your study period to confirm that you were enrolled at the University of Sydney.

This program is not available to citizens of Australia and New Zealand, nor to permanent residents of Australia.
International students How to applyTo be considered for the Visiting Researcher Program you need to:
- have identified a prospective supervisor who has confirmed willingness to support your application into this program;
- have completed at least one year of study towards a research degree at a recognised institution in your home country;
- have achieved a cumulative grade (across all results in your degree) of either 'Credit' or 'Good' average, or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale, or an average grade of 'C' or better on the European ECTS grading scale (or equivalent).

You are NOT eligible for the Visiting Researcher Program if:
- you are interested in studying for a full degree at the University of Sydney.
You will be able to enrol into the Visiting Researcher Program only if your scholarship has been approved by your sponsor.
