The concepts of the VMSES/E product service database and the INSTALL, RECEIVE APPLY and BUILD processes. The concepts of PPFs and how to create overrides. The Software Inventory files and how to use VMFSIM and VMFINFO to extract service information. How to install new products and create their shared segments. How to install RSU and corrective PTF service. How maintaining multiple service levels can be used to backout incorrect service. How to create local fixes.

Experience of using a VM system equivalent to the VM/ESA Technical Support course. No previous VMSES/E experience is required, but would be useful.
