About this course
To access this course students must be aged 19+ and have the following: basic Level 3 Diploma in Epilation, or equivalent certified by â€-Accredited Prior Learning' at least 3 years of evidenced safe experience in performing diathermy epilation There is a pre-requisite requirement of units VR02 and VR74 to this qualification. All students need an interview with Michelle Owen (via Paula Rowland)

Introduction:
This is a highly specialised qualification with important safety factors and demands experienced operators with a maturity of approach.
Study Mode & Location:
This 3 day course is intensive and will require models for students to practice the learning process (please see additional notes for more information). It will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent's Road, Preston, PR2 8UR. This course will run between 10am and 4pm on 19th and 20th February and 8th April.
Course Content:

- Provide treatments for Thread Veins (VR58)
- Provide treatments for Skin Tags and Milia (VR113)
Assessment:
Assessment is via observation of the work carried out on your case study model.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Upon successful completion of the course students can progress into employment as an advanced practitioner within epilation.
Course Cost and Additional Information:
The cost of this course is £195
Students are required to provide a model for Day 2. In the morning the model will be someone who will benefit from Thread Vein treatment and the afternoon's model will be someone who will benefit from Skin Tags and Milia treatment.
A further client is required to be used as a case study, this student should be someone who will benefit from any of these treatments.

You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
