VTCT VRQ in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Level 1

This course will enable you to develop personal and social skills as well as basic practical skills.

During the year you will develop skills in:

• styling womens' hair
• skin care
• basic manicure
• plaiting and twisting hair
• basic make-up application
• nail art application
• create a hair and beauty image
• colour hair using temporary colour

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements.

You will have an interview with the course staff to make sure that the course is right for you. You should be able to demonstrate an interest or knowledge of Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy and wish to progress in this area.

An initial assessment indicating that you are workingat entry level 3 in English and that you are able to achieve level 1 in a year and working at entry level 2 in maths and that you are able to achieve entry level 3 in a year.
