Introduction This framework has been designed to underpin skills for logistics sector qualifications. The logistics sector is a vibrant and vital part of the business economy, responsible for the direct or indirect employment of approximately 1.9 million people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Course Units

Candidates must complete both units in Group A, plus 6 units from Group B

NVQ Level 2 Warehousing & Storage

Mandatory Units:
· Maintain health, safety and security in logistic operations
· Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistic operations

Optional Units:
· Receive goods from deliveries
· Place goods in storage
· Maintain the safety and quality of goods
· Maintain the safety of hazardous goods and materials
· Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing goods
· Process orders for dispatch to customers
· Assemble Orders for Dispatch
· Dispatch Goods for Delivery
· Process Returned Goods
· Sort Goods and Materials for Recycling
· Manage Receipt, Storage or Dispatch of Goods
· Audit Stock Levels and Stock Records
· Provide customers with information and advice on goods and services
· Operate equipment to perform work requirements
· Move goods in logistics facilities

Technical Certificate:
Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage Principles
