Course programme
Starting with making your own colour wheel, learn how to mix and match colours. There will be demonstrations every lesson and examples shown. Explore how to use colour to denote mood. Look at composition and take a journey from near to far to put narrative into your paintings. Try out different experimental techniques to be expressive and find your own style. Advice will be given on paints, brushes and paper
Assessment Details
Tutor feedback. By the end of the course you should be able to complete a finished watercolour working from photographs and still life. You will have gained the confidence, skills and techniques to create colourful and beautiful Watercolour paintings inspired by still-life and landscape. You will understand how to use a brush effectively, how much water to use and how watercolour paint works.
Teaching Methods
Demonstrations by the tutor and examples of other artists work will be shown. Follow simple and enjoyable exercises. Having fun by messing around with watercolours.
