Course Overview
What does the course involve?:

This course involves two main areas of website design and web application development.

The web section will cover the basics of producing web pages including design and coding, using CSS and dynamic content. Applications covered will include Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and a range of related software.

The web application development will include website programming using ASP, VBScript, PHP, Javascript and Coldfusion, together with web-based databases using MySQL to produce dynamic content driven web applications. There will be a technical element on how to set up your own internet or intranet including the configeration of local web servers.

Tuesdays, 5.00pm - 9.00pm

Are there any exams?:
Assessment will be mainly through practical projects with some multi-choice tests.
