Webmaster – JavaScript Advanced Level 4 Online Course The Webmaster - JavaScript Online Course has been developed to introduce students to the fundamentals of JavaScript (an object-based, event-driven Web programming language), which tightly integrates with HTML. As students’ progress through the course their JavaScript skills are honed via interesting assignments which will involve the development of a number of interactive games such as the Minefield and Connect 4 games. The final assignment consists of the development of a technically demanding ‘Owzat cricket game, where the extensive JavaScript and jQuery skills learned during the course, are brought together. On successful completion of the course, students will receive the Webmaster - JavaScript Diploma with comprehensive feedback and analysis of their completed work, as well as the nationally accredited Open Awards Level 4 Certificate Award. The course is accessed through our online portal which gives you fast and easy access to the course’s innovative training materials, which will be continuously updated as new technology is developed. The course materials can be accessed via a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. Throughout the course students are supported by a personal course tutor who can give feedback on your work at any time throughout your study. The training programme consists of 10 individual lessons, which are designed to gradually build up and strengthen your technical knowledge. Prerequisites:

Students require a good knowledge of HTML Programming. This course assumes you have completed the Webmaster - Level 3 Course or have studied HTML to an equivalent level.

Please Note: We recommend this course is completed on a PC with the Windows Operating System or on an Apple Mac. As this is an online course it can be accessed on any Internet Ready computer, however certain software packages covered in the course will require specific system requirements and students using alternative platforms may need to source alternative software packages.

Course Duration & Support:

Students may register at any time for a fully-supported one-year training licence and will have constant access to a personal tutor via email. As the course is self-study, you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer within the one year licence period.

Study Hours

This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.

The approximate amount of time required to complete the course is: 120 hrs.
