History
In the 1990s many people set up home businesses as wedding planners and event managers but failed to make them profitable because they didn't have the focus, experience or guidance needed to make a success of this unique business. There were also many individuals doing a bad job and putting the whole industry's reputation at risk. Just because someone can plan their own wedding does not mean they will be a good wedding planner for somebody else.The Wedding Planner School was set up to give those who do start in the industry good advice and to provide a benchmark of quality that all wedding planners and event managers must work to. This includes private sole-trading companies and those employed by other event related organisations.These diploma schemes are useful for those businesses which have been running unprofitably for some time.
