This course provides a comprehensive analysis on how to calculate and use a company’s cost of capital. The cost of capital is calculated for a company’s debt, preferred stock and common stock. Once the cost for each item of the capital structure is determined, the company can calculate its weighted average cost of capital (WACC). The WACC is the discount rate used to evaluate all investments made by the company. If you would like Continuing Education Credit (e.g. CPE, CE, CPD, etc.) for this course, it is available if you take this course on the Illumeo dot com platform under course title: Calculating Your Corporate Cost of Capital: Corporate Finance Series. Illumeo is certified to provide CPE in over two dozen different professional certifications covering finance, accounting, treasury, internal audit, HR, and more. However, in order to receive CPE credit the courses must be taken on an ‘approved-by-the-governing-body’ CPE platform, and for over two dozen corporate professional certifications, that is the Illumeo platform.
