Course programme
For one in fifteen firms in the East Midlands, the green economy accounts for 80% or more of their business, with four in ten firms offering some form of low carbon or other ‘pro-environmental’ goods and services.
The ‘Key Skills and Training Needs of the D2N2 LCEGS Sector’ study (Paterson et al. 2018) shows that there are significant gaps in the supply of ‘pro-environmental’ skills across various sectors and that small and micro businesses can least afford the relevant training to boost their expertise in this area. This short course is designed to help bridge that gap. Delivered in an interactive, practical, and outcome focused way, study author Dr. Fred Paterson provides SMEs with the tools to take advantage of this growth market.
Three half day sessions are supported by a free online unit that sets out the tools and approaches you will practice in the face to face session. In the final half day session, participants will have the opportunity to practice pitching their pro-environmental business offer via a simulated ‘Dragon’s Den’ experience.
