This qualification can be completed over one year where those wishing for an insight into the hairdressing industry. The course is practical based offering a wide range of skills such as cutting, colouring, perming, variety of hair styling techniques supported by underpinning knowledge for each unit by assignment and research workshops which build up portfolios of evidence for progression to a higher level course. Functional skills and tutorials are fundamental to support this course. This course is essential for those with no or little experience in hairdressing. This course is tailored to ensure that we meet the needs of each learners ability, pace and learning style. The course is held over one year, 16 hours per week.
