About the course
Are you looking for woodwork or carpentry training that will help you get a job as Site Carpenter? There are two pathways available in this NVQ Level 3 Wood Occupations course at City College Plymouth. You can choose from Bench Joinery or Site Carpentry. An onsite assessment pathway in your chosen trade is the best way of gaining the highly valued NVQ in your skilled area. Trade NVQs are the benchmark for all employers and can help increase your employment and financial development opportunities considerably. An NVQ also enables you to apply for skilled status CSCS cards which are essential to your eligibility and authorisation to work on large construction sites. You will learn about complex building and trade procedures specific to your chosen trade, and prove your competence and knowledge with practical demonstrations across the trade. You’ll also learn and evidence health and safety practices and site/project management at level 3. Our trainers and assessors are all experienced in delivering effective NVQ and construction training. They will support and guide you through your qualification with competence and concise guidance.
