About this course

Delegates should have a working knowledge of Windows or they should have completed the Introduction to Windows course. Delegates should feel at ease producing standard documents and ideally will have completed the Word Level 1 course. Previous use of a keyboard and mouse is essential for this course.

Course Overview

This course will enable delegates to increase the complexity of their Microsoft Word documents by adding components such as customized lists, tables, mail merge, and graphics.
Prerequisites
  • Delegates should have a working knowledge of Windows or they should have completed the Introduction to Windows course.
  • Delegates should feel at ease producing standard documents and ideally will have completed the Word Level 1 course.
  • Previous use of a keyboard and mouse is essential for this course.


Objectives


    Delegates will be able to :
  • Create a document that uses tab markers to aid the layout.
  • Insert Headers and Footers into a document that states useful file information, saved location of file, date last modified or page information at the top and bottom of the document.
  • Create a document that contains a Multi-Level list
  • Create a template letter that can be sent to multiple recipients, the details of the recipients will be retrieved from a database.
