The morning sessions focuses on small-steps intervention programmes to support children and adolescents who have selective mutism (SM) to talk - first on a one-to-one basis and then generalising to others across a range of settings.
You'll also learn about general principles to maximise progress and how to deal with regression. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion.
The optional afternoon session covers additional considerations for older children and young people, including secondary school transfer and individuals who may be disengaged and hard to reach.
This course is run by UCL's Division of Psychology and Language Sciences (PaLS).
