Overview:
A wound is defined as an interruption by violence or surgery in the continuity of the external surface of the body or of the internal surface of any internal organ.
Wound care programs can be very comprehensive. It is not reasonable or necessary to advocate only one or a few treatments, but rather consider the employment of all useful treatments for any given wound.
The goal is to do whatever is the very best and most effective for each individual case.
