Woven Tapestry LocationCranford Avenue Course Overview Learn to weave tapestries on a small portable frame, which you can take home between classes on payment of a small refundable deposit. You will gain a deeper understanding of how the great medieval tapestries were woven, such as those at Hampton Court. In completing a small tapestry of your own, you will learn about combining different colour combinations of varying materials including silks, linens and wools to build up a 3D picture on a 2D surface. No prior knowledge or skill is needed. (NOTE: wheelchair users can be accommodated on this course but they will need mobility in their arms).
