Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open water Diver or equivalent. Be 15 years of age or older. Complete the PADI RSTC Medical.

Course programme

Ever been fascinated by the wrecks that lie on the bottom of the Ocean? Then enrol in the PADI Wreck Diver Speciality. The course will introduce you to wreck diving and help you develop the skills and knowledge that you need for safe wreck diving.

The course consists of: -

* 1 Theory Session
* 4 Open water Dives
* Crew pack for you to keep that contains all the reading material you require
* Pool Session at Instructors discretion.

The Wreck Dive conducted during the PADI Adventures in Diving program may be counted toward this specialty at the discretion of the instructor conducting

The Wreck Diver can be counted towards the Master Scuba Diver Rating.

The equipment you will need on this course is.

* Full Scuba Equipment
* Suitable Thermal Protection for the diving environment
* Gloves to protect you from abrasions
* Alternate air source (3ltr cylinder)
* Depth Gauge and Watch (even if you are using a computer)
* Diving Tool or Knife capable of cutting line
* Slate with Pencil
* Whistle or other surface-signalling device
* Torch and back up torch
* Log Book.

The equipment that is recommended for this course is

* Delayed SMB and Reel.
