The yeast separator is used after fermentation in the appropriate vat; the young beer passes to the separator where most of the yeast perima of filtration is removed. To ensure uninterrupted supply into the separator, the pressure in the young beer supply line is monitored. A level threshold measure monitors the separated yeast which is deposited in the lower part of the separator and also controls the cleaning.
