Course programme

This is an ongoing class, suitable for those who have some experience in yoga, although beginners are also welcome.

We will be refining basic postures, and practising new variations, combining movement of the body with the breath. The course will also include breathing exercises, techniques to improve power of concentration, meditation, and yoga nidra (deep relaxation).

The course aims to:

  • Enable individual students to practice yoga exercises to their own ability.
  • Give students the opportunity to experience all aspects of yoga, and learn how they link together, forming a full physical and spiritual practice.

At the end of the course, students should:

  • Show increased confidence and ability (strength, flexibility and balance) in their yoga practice.
  • Understand and demonstrate competency in breath awareness and control, respecting personal limitations.
  • Experience a deeper understanding of yoga, as a complete lifestyle.
