This course describes the RACF global options that affect the way security is implemented. It covers the tables and exits that can be used to customise RACF's operation to a particular site's needs. Other topics related to securing and maintaining a RACF system will also be covered.
Course objectives
Upon completion of this course the attendee will be able to: Understand the RACF global options and their effects; identify the RACF exit points, their capabilities and coding conventions; identify and code the tables that control RACF processing. The attendee should also be able to understand how they affect RACF processing and how they affect system security. Use the above information, plus information from other sources, to plan and implement a RACF security system. Use the RACF utilities to maintain and recover the RACF database.
