A candidate must finish four elements stated below (Candidates are advised to choose those areas which are best suited to their work situation and job role).
- You do not have to pass a written examination but prospective candidates must attend a pre-course presentation to confirm enrolment on this course;
- You must demonstrate that you have the skills, knowledge and understanding to the required standard;

To gain the full qualification:
Candidate must complete four units which include the following:
- Develop plans for assessing competence with candidates;
- Judge evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions;
- Provide feedback and support candidates on assessment decisions; and
- Contribute to the internal quality assurance process.
What is the course about?
This is about teaching candidates about assessment against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods, giving feedback on assessment decisions and contributing to the quality assurance processes.
How will the course be taught?
There will be theoretical input where candidates will be taught how to carry out plans for assessing competence with candidates, judging evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions, providing feedback and supporting candidates on assessment decisions and demonstrating ways of contributing to the internal quality assurance process. Candidates will be supported to build up portfolios.
What is the Assessment Method?
A variety of methods are used in assessing candidates such as observation of assessor giving feedback to candidates, questioning, personal account, product evidence, professional discussion, etc.
Is there any additional cost involved?
Candidates have to pay for awarding body registration fees which are in addition to the normal tuition fees.

At a successful completion candidates who are successful could go on to do the V1 and VII.
