About this course

No formal qualifications are required. You must be 20 years of age or over and be motivated and committed to the course. You need to be working at level 2 in literacy and numeracy. You will be asked to complete an assessment task and an informal interview with a member of the Access team.

Course Content:
You will study English and Study Skills, Mathematics, Information Technology, Psychology and Biology and choose 1 option from either Health Studies or English Literature.

Other Information:
This course is made up of modules that are validated by the Open College Network of the West Midlands. Your work will be assessed by coursework and examination. This is the ideal course if you want to go to university or into professional training but don't have the necessary entry requirements or if you haven't studied for a long while. The course will help to build confidence and get you back into studying again.

Progression:
Successful students can progress to university to continue their studies. Courses may include the following. Humanities; Nursing & Health Professions; Psychology; Social Science; Social Work; Teaching;
