This course is a foundation course suitable for anyone working in Accounts departments.

The course covers the following topics:

Recording income and receipts
Making and recording payments
Preparing ledger balances and an initial trial balance
Supplying information for management control
Work with computers
Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive working environment
Achieving personal effectiveness

The full AAT Accounting Qualification opens many doors, from chartered accountancy to starting your own business. It also improves promotion prospects and recognition in your workplace with a respected qualification to demonstrate your ability.

At each level of the scheme, students are assessed against the Standards of Competence by a combination of Examination (set and marked by the AAT) and Skills Test (assessed by the College).

You may be able to get help with paying the course fees, including paying for your course in instalments.

There is an additional cost for AAT annual membership of £69.00 payable directly to AAT. There is also a one off joining fee of £32.00 for learners who are new to AAT and have never previously been registered.
