Course programme
- Course Level: A & AS Level
- Duration: 2 Year
- Start date: September 2010
- Qualification: A level Sociology
- Awarded By: OCR
Sociology is the study of society, of people and their behaviour. Sociologists ask questions about society and seek to find answers to those questions. For example, does racism still exist? How do the media influence our sense of identity? Is class still important or do we have a 'classless society'? To what extent do gender and ethnicity shape our life chances? From studying sociology you will begin to understand why individuals and groups behave in certain ways and it will allow you to question and understand the social world around you.
